Anthony Cody is from Fresno, California with roots in both the Dust Bowl and Bracero Program. He is a CantoMundo fellow, a graduate teaching fellow at Juan Felipe Herrera's experimental Laureate Lab at Fresno State, and an editorial member of the Hmong American Writers’ Circle. His poetry has appeared or forthcoming in Gulf Coast, Ninth Letter, Prairie Schooner, TriQuarterly, Puerto del Sol, The Boiler, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, ToeGood Poetry Journal, Tropics of Meta, and El Tecolote Newspaper, in Gentromancer, a collaborative art project with visual artist Josue Rojas. His poem "no te quedes" has garnered a Best of the Net 2018 nomination. He was co-editor of How Do I Begin?: A Hmong American Literary Anthology (Heyday), in which he also contributed poems. He currently serves as Communications Director for CantoMundo.
