Thursday, May 11, 2017 Laureate Lab Grand Hatching: Anthony, U.S. Poet Laureate Emeritus Juan Felipe Herrera and Graduate Fellow J.J. Hernandez opened the Laureate Lab Visual Words Studio at Fresno State. LaLab is a one of kind space exploring the intersections of poetry, visual art, sound, video, and community to push the boundaries of poetics and artform. Over 400 students, staff, faculty, and community members participated in the launch, which included creation stations staffed by LaLab, as well as a reading featuring Juan Felipe Herrera, Mayra Cano, Rebeca Flores, J.J.
